My rim fire collection

Some nice rifles in this thread for sure. No high-end rimfires in my collection, and not many rimfires at all for that matter. Nicest I ever owned was a CZ452 Varmint in 17HMR. Only gun I ever regretted selling. If you've got a nice CZ that shoots well, never let it go. Learn from my mistake! lol

I've got a few treasures meself.

This one is my absolute favorite. An old modified Winchester 69A.
Deadly accurate and a fun gofer gitter.
Haven't spent much time with the RAR yet.
Could very well be another fur plinkster.

Is the RAR a .22lr? Been tempted by the Ruger American in .22WMR

Hey graydog, how do you find the Savage BTVS versus the CZ thumbhole? The reason I ask is I have a Savage BTVS in 22lr (same as you) and am considering a CZ thumbhole in 17HMR. I'm almost tending to go Savage and spend more on the optics but I like the looks and feedback I hear on the CZs.

The Savage is a nice gun. It is far from stock with a trigger that releases at approx. 1 lb. I am sorry to say it does not stack up to the CZ guns but then they don't cost as much either. The mags are way better on the CZ guns then the Savage ones are.

I am a little bias toward the CZ guns as you can see but as far as I am concerned if you can afford it buy the CZ over the Savage.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Graydog
