I finally traded some guns yesterday for a 1905 Ross to go with my Ross M10.
They aren't new but they are nice examples. I am missing the front hood for the 1905 but there must be some around.

Very nice pairing, especially with the bayonets.

What iteration is the 1905? 3*? I can't quite make out the rear handguard or rear sight. Have you deciphered the markings on the buttstock yet?

I think the 1905 is a beautiful rifle. I'm envious of your Mk III, as I've yet to come across one I can afford.

If you want some age-appropriate slings for them, you could try John Denner.

I traded a Mauser, Enfield, and a couple of 22s for the Ross 1905 it also included the bayonet.
In the deal was a 1941 Italion Carcano and a short Carcano sporter with double set triggers. The sporter is just good for parts especially the set triggers.

From what I can make out the 1905 is the last of the Mk IIs and it is a ***** 5 star model.

Can you post close ups of the rear sight and of the stampings/info on the right side of the buttstock?

How's the bore? (that's often the rub with Rosses. :( )

As for a sight hood...not so easy to find those. I looked for a long while.

Nice grab.
