Mine will always eject remington yelow-jacket brass. But if I go to the winchester dynapoints it wont eject about 1 in every 6.

Anyone have similar results?

Im not sure if there is something about the winchester brass, or my exractor is having issues.

Clean your bolt, bolt face and extractor, especially in and around the extractor groove and spring.

Clean the breech face as well as the little notches that accept the extractor hooks.

My MKIIF did the same thing when I first got it "used", and had to use a brass rod to push out empties at the range, at least until I got home.

BTW, I only use Win bulk, dynapoint, GT, Xpert...whatever is cheap at walmart or CT.

I just did what you said. Amazing how much grit can come out of those small spaces.

Will have to go out this weekend and see if it decides to like the winchester brass. I almost wonder if the winchester brass is softer or something.

Hey Powder burner:

I shoot a Savage MK II BV and a CZ 452 in 22lr. I've had problems with some cheap ammo, but never with match grade stuff (mostly RWS) used for bench and prone shooting at 50 & 100 yards.

You can also try a dry lube on the extractor and around the breech face. It will collect far less carbon and crap.

I still use Rem Oil or Hobbes gun oil within the barrel, inside and along the length of the bolt and have not had the problem repeat itself.
