I wasn't sure how I would like the bare receiver but I like it.
What do you guys think?

Looks very handy... should be a good quick pointer... great plinking gun... the pistol grip looks much better than your original attempt... it looks properly positioned now... is it comfortable? Have you had it to the range? you should try a speed course shooting clays... should be a good set-up for that.

Hey Hoyt.I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.We still have a foot and a half of snow up here with another 6 inches last night. The pistol grip is very comfortable.I don't have big hands so the distance to the trigger is just right.I still need to do some sanding on the receiver and then give it a couple coats of Tremclad clear satin.

I think the receiver looks really good! I am attempting to attach a lower rail to a synthetic stock and am wondering, jb weld or bolts? Also have seen the empty case charging handle before and how is it attached?

The empty case is attached with JB weld.I would use bolts to attach a lower rail. You could also try screws,my stock is wood so that's what I used.

Thanks I've been leaning towards bolts, and the empty case just looks fantastic might have to try. I do have to say, SBR looks awesome and like its going to be a whole lotta fun. Thanks again!

Looks Bad Ass. Scope looks disproportionate to the overall size of the rifle. Do you have adequate eye relief with it? I think a red dot sight would be ideal for this set up.
