My scoped Vz58

That's a great build OP! I really like the magpul and scope combo on there.

I've been toying something slightly similar but quite a bit heavier :p

I can't figure out if the scope is in mils or minutes. The instruction manual is in Russian. I am guessing it's minutes as the dial goes from 0 to 12 in quarter increments (1, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, 2... etc) zero to twelve MOA?

Anyone speak Russian and willing to translate? These scope dials are quite new to me.

Write Martin at Corwin Arms... His customer care is always great!

Question for you and the OP as well.
Don't the ejected casings hit the scope??

The OP's looks like it might clear.

I Bought a 1-6x24 to mount with the NEA cantelever. but with the proper eye relief and stock maxed out in LOP, it still hangs over the ejection port a bit. almost even with the bolt carrier when it is locked to the rear.

That's where the casing "kicker" is so i'm thinking that's where it starts to eject. but i haven't seen much slo mo ejection footage to be sure.

Here I'd my sniper, err... I mean DMR Vz58 build...

Actually it's not a build, or a "sniper". It's a CSA Vz58 with some sh!t bolted on to it.

Now for super black rifle mode...

Actually, this rig is for this seasons (short) deer season. Almost complete, just need my Blue Force sling that I'm still waiting for.

Basically, it's just stock CSA Vz58 with a Magpul CTR + riser and a Belomo PO 3.5x17.5P strapped to a side mount using cheap Traditions scope rings (it makes using the dials easy... and they're cheap) The FOV isn't too impressive with this scope. I don't like shell deflectors and a small 3.5x magnification scope is all you need for a 7.62x39... Plus I wanted to keep the stripper clip guide accessible (I'm weird that way) A Leatherwood or Primary Arm scope would be choice, but again. I don't like clumsy looking shell deflectors. I also installed a custom modified GG&G AR-15 sling plate for the truck hunting variable.

So far satisfied with it, feels comfortable to handle. But, I will have to see how the short eye relief likes my eye socket.

Hey Beaver, your P.M. box is full. Can you tell us where you got that magazine? Is that one of those double stack pistol mags from Zahal?

Mind of I ask how long the scope is. I am working on a near identical setup, but have yet to finalize the optic.

5 inches, 7 inches with the sun shade. Shortest scope available for a decent enough price.

I really want a Valdada I.O.R. Pitbull. 7.5" long with 3.5" eye relief. 5.56 BDC reticle...

But its damn expensive.

Where did you get the mag?

Kelly's Sporting Goods. 5rd double stack.

Nope. Strippers can also be used also.

Awhile back I was considering the Pitbull as well. However, after reading some negative reviews and speaking to several users I passed. There are better options out there for the money.

SHHHHIIIEEETTTTT. All of these beautiful vz58 in this thread are convincing me that I NEED A VZ58!!!!

+1

OP's build really hides the awkward length of the NR barrel. I've been wanting one of these (well a CZ) and now I just may have to get one.

Honestly I've only shot one mag through this gun so far. I turn the lens cover upside down to shield the body of the scope a little more. Haven't noticed any hits but its something I'll be keeping an eye on!
