I have shot the G26 and it's .40cal version, your right it's meant to be carried a lot and shot a bit. That is sort of my plan for it.

The P7M8 mags are quite cheap but the sale price on the PSP mags is $59.95, I'm thinking after shipping and duty it might just be cheaper to buy them from an HK dealer.

I think the mags are simply not made anymore, except by Promag. Except for minor differences in appearance, any of these mags should feed, should they not? It's a sad day when it comes down to Promag, but it happens to all of us who appeciate older designs.
 
I thought I'd post this in this thread. It's a compact Beretta MADE IN ITALY!! Ooooo! Frame and slide are shortened as is the grip. Same LOONNGG triger pull is DA. And no I'm not tormenting you with 12(6), it's restricted!

Those are nice! Just barely restricted yet still large enough to be more than comfortable. I'm a fan. For reference, someone on the EE has a Taurus PT92C which is basically the same pistol but of course, a Taurus. If you don't mind the difficult of seeking out replacement parts (which is not impossible just a little time consuming), one of these more rare compact Berettas can be had for a discount and are fun to shoot.

I'm still kicking myself for not buying the stainless Beretta 92FS compact type M (singlestack) that P&D had a few years back for $900 or so.

At one point I owned a Beretta 92SB type M (had rounded trigger guard, blue finish, single side safety) and foolishly sold it....
 
Is that Beretta a single stack? I know there are both single and double stack Beretta 92 compacts. Back before Sureshot closed, they had a single stack 92 compact in there (used of course). It was going for $900 or something like that. I'm not sure exactly what happened to it during the winding up of Sureshot. It was one of the items that was pretty sought after from what I understand. I don't believe it made it to the store that took over most of the inventory. My girlfriend really wanted one of those to go with her Berettas. If I see another single stack stainless 92 compact come up, I'll buy it for her for her birthday or something. But, like just about everything else in firearms in Canada lately, I won't be the only one trying to get it.

Anybody have any experience shooting a 92 compact single stack? That or one of those 87's in .380 that are restricted. I've seen, I think, two of those come up in the EE in the years I've been on CGN. Very rare.
 
The 92 Compact singlestack fits people with small hands very well. Very narrow and length of grip is slightly shorter than the HK P7.

Depending on the generation triggers can be very smooth/crisp (the blued SB one I had) or a little heavier (the FS versions with the semisquare trigger guard). Due to the way it fit my hand it was more accurate and easier to control than the full size Berettas.

I suspect it would be similar to the Sig P239.

Slide width is same as full size Beretta.

I sold mine because at the time I had 15 round magazines and thought 8 was not enough!!!
 
I like my g26, g19, a lot! I find the g26 VERY shootable and accurate and with a pinky finger adapter could go for long range sessions. my recent aquisition Beretta 86 Cheetah 380 is very thin and compact at 23 ounces, as small as a g19.

No double. I had a stainless type M years ago but the sight was also stainless and drove me crazy because i couldn't see it.
 
There is an M8 for sale for 2,200. I have a P7PSP for sale for 1,450 shipping included. It's not my buddys trade/well used and freckled up PSP. I bought the one I'm selling on Monday of last week. I'd love to keep it but can't.
