If there were only one perfect gun for the entire world population, there would be only one model, one caliber and one manufacturer of guns. This is clearly not the case and you're right, to each his own and thank god for that. Having one more than we need is what makes some of us, collectors. Not being satisfied with the status quo is what gives us that variety to choose from.

I have considered removing the bayonet from my SKS and sawing /grinding off the mount to streamline the barrel, but the OP's project sounds like a lot of effort for increasingly small gains. I'd be interested in seeing the pictures as well of course...

Nothing wrong with reducing the size of a fixed magazine. Before you "Declare" anyone a troll, look in the mirror and know your facts. There's a very strong possibility that I know a lot more about firearms than you do. Know who you're talking to before you demonstrate ignorance.

They are imported with a five round limit: the second you increase it... even to six rounds, you have a prohibited device.

Kindly take your juvenile crap to the airsoft forums.

This post is no good without pics so I'll add a few of my last build.
-Threaded adapter indexed and dimpled for set screws and a CZ slant break
-vented gas tube cover
-Murray firing pin
-Choate scope mount and shell deflector( ejection port mod to come later)
-Stripped to bare wood and refinished stock with Minwax early American 230 stain
-Bayo mount bipod
-Cheek riser
-original 1" buttpad
-filled in the bayo cut out with a piece of wood and added a 6" rail with a AFG-1 grip
-5 round detachable mag
Pics taken with my phone so they're not the best.

You need an AR man. Playing barbie dress-up just isn't the same on an SKS.

I have an AR, but I like to change things up a bit and since I have several SKS why not play around with a couple of them. I like it, so that's all that really matters. I also fix up old cars and change them to my liking, because I build them for me not other people.

Just PM me your email address and I will gladly send you shots of the sights.

I've always been someone who can't learn shiet from instructions or textbooks, but you show me pictures and I'll understand. I'm curious to see what it looks like once you've finished, but I admit I didn't get past step three or four to what your planning on doing. Pics on completion sounds good.

Also, I don't think anyone here is surprised that the second you posted your own opinion (on the internet, of all places!) that you would be shiet on for it.

I hope this link works
