I finally have my shortie to where I think it's done. Apart from a red dot of some kind I think I've finished with the mods.

Here she is:

It started life as a 22" but I had it chopped, re-crowned and threaded 1/2x28. Its sporting a Dlask A6 brake but I haven't fired yet so the jury is still out if it will stay. I'm leaning towards just a standard birdcage.

I also had the front sight moved to a permanent custom sight base on the gas system. Its rocks solid and I don't have to worry about dialing it back whenever I mess with the flash hider or brake. I also had the trigger massaged and the gas system unitized.

Its also sporting a rear BM59 sight from the Italian connection, an action release lever and an over sized mag release. I love the action release but I'm not sold on the mag release.

The rubber butt stock plate is modified to fit a Norc. It required some modifications to get it to fit and it's a little rough but serviceable. I may buy another and redo the mod now that I know what I'm doing. It is shortened to be able to use the bolts that come with the Norcs

let me know what you think. Thomas aka 45ACPKing did most of the work. I was lucky enough to one of the last rifles that went across his bench.

nice job. I thought you cant cut chrome lined barrels without chipping? also that muzzle brake looks like it would do a hell of a job keeping recoil down
