If you look carefully at this picture, you will see that there in an o ring stretched over the gas tube and cleaning rod at the front of the gas tube. 10 cent solution and it works.
As per previous question - the o ring goes over the barrel (bbl) or gas tube and the cleaning rod goes through the o ring. The tension of the o ring prevents the cleaning rod from rattling.
If you generate enough heat to melt the o ring, call the fire department because your stock will be smoking as well...
