My SKS (purists look away) LOL

First of I'd like to say I like sks's in all forms lol. cant be beat for price and fun factor. Yours looks great!! Nice work. I'm not bad mouthing cz858 cuz I'm buying one of those soon. I'd like to have an Sks in every version and probably will. How do you like your bc tactical mount? Does it mount solid and hold zero?
 
An SKS is it's own entity, you may have many prized rifles but 3 or 400 rounds down the range with a completly stock SKS is a ball, they were made to be shoot this way and after a few stripper clips, you dont think about your other rifle, love the SKS... JP.

BC tactical scout mount is the bomb. Holds zero perfectly, you can open the gas system without removing it. Feels very strong.
 
Right on I've been looking at the bc tactical mount I think it's probably the best way to add optics to the Sks. I'm definitely getting one now to try. I think I'll put a vortex Sparc on it. Lol I know Sparc is more money than Sks. Oh well. Thanks for the reply on the mount
 
You cant have to many of those Spark, they are just great, if i see one to sell i will get it, they make goods back ups sights to... JP.
 
Nice gun, Have you shot it with that sight set up yet? i got the scout mount and TRS-25 and ejected shell casings would hit the glass and it broke...
 
The Tech works with the railed handguard. The rail has cuts in the middle so you can through it.

As for the Scout mount and BRS 25 reddot, ive shot about 200 rounds and not one hit it...

For the blueing, just got a blueing kit from canadian tire, worked well, but I would like it a bit darker.

Haha! I'm a dyed-in-the-wool AR shooter, but I fell in love with the SKS/foregrip/Kobra for recon in BF3, and came to the 'Red Rifle' forum for the first time (I was kinda nervous) looking to see if I could find someone who built my new favourite BF3 set-up. Took me 2 minutes...
 
I tapco'd mine but left the internal magazine in. Seeing as it's 5 round limit anyways, I just use stripperclips but I cut mine into 5-round chargers making 2 with every 1.

I did the same. You can still feed stripper clips with the Tapco mag. I have to admit that I bought it just for looks. :redface:
 
Where did you pick up the front grip/bipod from? I was looking for one, but haven't seen any for anywhere close to $20.
