Haha, No competition to be had here. But I wouldn't mind seeing some actual targets people have shot at 50m with their SKS. Mine is a bit of a project rifle. I've been adding things and taking stuff off of it for the past month seeing what has the biggest affect on accuracy and seem to have it shooting consistently around 1.5-2" at 50m.

This was my cleanest looking group from today, 5 shots of Barnaul FMJ at 50m from the bench. Now I'm curious to get my hands on some more American Eagle, since the last time I shot it, it blew the Barnaul FMJ out of the water.

The group measures 1.5" on the nose ctc.

For comparison, the last time I went out Barnaul FMJ shot like this for 5 shots. This was the best of the day for Barnaul.

Whereas the AE shot like this. Both are 5 round groups btw;

I'll have to dig around for the picture, but my stock SKS, from the bench, shooting 1990 Czech surplus has shot 1.5" at 100y. I have managed this two or three times. That said, most of my SKS shooting is done from field positions and usually around minute of man.

Here is a sight in target that I shot with my 1954r in a Tapco stock that I too am trying to squeeze the most accuracy out of with surplus ammo .

Yes that is a home made mussel break that I was testing at the same time , seems to work good .

This was shot at 50 yards , had a hard time adjusting the front sight ,, finally got it centred on the bull's eye , I believe I was using Russian surplus ammo.

Kiwi scope rail and rings be here next week , so I hope it will be scoped for the next shooting adventure lol.

I will post a review including ammo types ,, if I can hit the target .........
