My snapshot of a transfer time. Ontario to BC.

In other threads we have been kicking around numbers Ontario BC ALberta Quebec and because some of us have numbers close together order date wise as well as approved dates I can tell you that its the common consensus that BC is about 3 weeks faster than Ontario and Quebec is about 2 Weeks faster than Ontario. We did not have much in the way of alberta data or other provinces so they did not get analyzed. I believe the information on this theory is in the main Ontario transfer time thread and begins on about page 300 with a chart created by a member named "wolf" from that point more started adding dates for the provinces BC Alberta etc and you can see how we came to that point. well I say we cause I provided numbers the smart guys did the heavy lifting lol But ya about 3 Weeks faster than Ontario
 
The Firearms Act defines a Chief Firearms Officer as an individual designated to that role with respect to any given province or territory. The Act then goes on to state that the Chief Firearms Officer is responsible for verifying whether any given individual has the appropriate licensing to possess a restricted firearm for that type of transfer. As a result, jurisdiction is given to the Chief Firearms Officer of any given province or territory to deal with transfers involving individuals living within that province or territory. A CFO from a different province than the one in which you live would not be involved. In practice, if you attempt to call a CFO office from a different jurisdiction than the one in which you live to get anything done, they will typically refer you back to the CFO of your own province or territory regardless of where the transfer originates.
 
Anyone else have an update to transfer times for BC?

I'm 5 months waiting now. I get that the freeze happened and a ton of panic buying, so just wondering what others are experiencing currently?

5 months starts to make me real nervous.

Call the BC CFO. Have a look at the BC Transfers thread. I have left detailed instructions on how to call in and get the transfer completed.

And yes, the OP is wrong...
