My son will have 16 years in May

Well then, I DON'T apologize. I wasn't belittling anyone. I was directing my posts to ONAGOTH.
Now if the original poster would have stated where he/she was from I may have been able to HELP him/her.

So, Cornelunc, where you from. I'll help you out.

I am from Ontario.

It is not about we "MAKE" you "APOLOGIZE" because there is a "RULE" broken.

It is about making others feel uncomfortable to participate because of language skill. Maybe the person is not from Quebec, perhaps he or she is Polish, Serbian, Indian......some new immigrants who are actually part of the firearms community and not perfect in English. That's not a good way to gain support from a growing part of the population.

My nationality is Romanian, and I am newer immigrant to Canada.

Cornelunc's English is much better than my Romanian. Onagoth's reply did make me smile though.....Sometimes we need to be able to smile at ourselves.

Every province is different, here in AB my son could come along and shoot my deer or grouse if he wanted at age 12, at age 14 he could carry his own rifle and buy his own youth tag, shoot his own deer but he still had to be supervised. At 16 he was good to go without me.

That was definitely true many years ago. What about the, " you can have a hunting license at 14, but can't own a firearm till 18 "? At 16 I thought you still had to be in the vicinity of someone with a PAL/FAC if carrying a firearm?

You can get a minors possesion licence.

Supposed to carry the registration card of the persons gun you are borrowing as well.

Just like your supposed to carry the registration card for any of your own firearms while hunting. (even though they are cheap pieces of paper that get ruined the first time it rains on a hunting trip)

Corneluc,
Divent ye tak nee notice o them tee scallies makin fun o ya. If ye want te come our te Quebec where we talk proper, your quite welcome.

The deer tag was $245 for a non resident last time I looked.

Keep a had bonnie lad.

If you son has a minor licence, he is good to go with his own rifle and required game licences. (at age 15 he can carry his own rifle in Ontario)

He just has to be with you for safety reasons or someone with a P.A.L. licence. He can not hunt alone.
