Went to the bait tonight and met the bear coming in from the far side.(what luck).Was about 50yrds.It stopped and turned sightly when my boy pulled on him.It sat on its ass instantly only to get up and run about 15yrds.It stopped again weezing up blood.I told him to shoot again I saw that shot strike the bank over him next shot was a paunch shot.It ran again stopping a short distace away so we walked a bit closer and he shot him in the punkin.(A bit sloppy but he is 13).For the next two minutes i didnt understand one word he said.Not sure who was more proud.
He shot him with my 760rem carbine in 280 with 165gr cor-locks.I have been told the gun isnt mine anymore.All is well I have a 7600 in 280 also.
