Just happened to browse Frontier Firearms web site and find a Marlin XL7C on special, $339.95, in 30-06. Always want to get a firearm in this caliber. I googled it and found lots of positive comments. So, I bought it last night through internet, and you know what, I got an email from Canada Post this morning that the item has been shipped with tracking number!!!
Frontier, excellent service, two thumbs up!! You make me a very happy Christmas Holiday.

Congrats on the new rifle!
I've heard lots of positive comments on the XL7!

Thats a great deal...which I think is now over as it cannot be acessed on the site...good find. I see they ship for free too. Better than waiting for weeks for WSS to ship items between their stores.....

There are other good deals at Frontier but they are closed for Holiday right now. Anyway, hope you folks can find some good stuff after new year. Merry Christmas and a Happy new year.

Well now, thats a score! Very well done.
I picked up the XS7C in .308 at WSS a few weeks ago with a "save double the gst" sale. $404 out the door after tax. Can't wait to give it a try.
It seems to be half the weight of my Savage 12FV in .308

Thats an awesome price. I paid $379 for a black one from a dealer here on CGN, and if I remember correctly, the camo one was and extra $50.

They shoot great btw. Here's a pic @ 100yards, and I am sure it could do better, but I do not get out to often to shoot.

I tried to buy an XL7 from those bozos at the Toronto Bass Pro Shops for $299. They never answered my e-mails and when I phoned, I got put on hold and never answered so I gave up and bought a Savage FXCP 111 in 30.06 instead from Cabela's last year Boxing day sale.

The Savage is great, very accurate, but I would have preferred the Marlin.

You can't get mail order from a particular BPS store. All BPS mail orders come from the US. So, that is why you failed. Now Cabelas Canada does have a Canadian mail order service.

Perhaps, but they could have at least replied to my e-mails telling me that. I can pick up from Cabela's in person, which I did.

You CAN order from Bass Pro over the telephone and have them ship the firearm to you. This is how I bought my Baikal MP-153. It was a nightmare. Was put on hold and hung up on many times, they needed a fax of my DL and PAL, they refused an e-mail with an attachment, and there was some confusion with a different address on my DL(had the rural route number). Overall it took almost 2 weeks to get everything sorted out.

I phoned the Toronto store, and spoke to a gal called Kelly at the gun counter. She called me back and said, "We can mail it to you. No problem." Canada Post had it in Whitehorse in six days.

Bevan King is putting a 9.3X62 barrel on it for me. :)
