Is it a butler creek 25rnd or standard rotary 10rnd I meant. It looks short for a 25rnd if it is.

It's a standard OEM 10/22 mag glued to Pmag.

Wow nice rig man. Youve got yours setup just about like i want mine to look. Only diff so far is that i got have the 12 inch dlask barrel on it. Gotta toot my horn a little here, i got the first one of those 7 inch quad rails made! I have considered to going back up to a 14 or 16 inch barrel though.

I've also decided that it needs a 12.5 .920 on it. The over all length 18.5" barrel with comp is just a bit too long the more I look at it :D. I am going to to go and buy a new barrel after this and save the one on it right now for my next build

Question for you JT

I'm new to the SR22 scene and the whole AR style rifles all together. I've picked up an SR22 and am starting to dress it up now. I am picky about style and good quality. What I am wondering is about that wedge style handle on the bottom of the hand guard. What is that? I like the look of it on your gun and a few others I've seen it on. I'm thinking that may be what I want for a hand grip on my gun, if that is what it is for.

Please don't laugh me off the forum guys. I have been around guns all my life and owned them for 38 years so I'm not a newbie to guns, just this particular trend...

Thanks in advance.

that is great looking. $1900 - 2300 is not. you must be very rich. I dont think the 5 guns I own cost that much combined!

No not rich .. but a few firearms short now a days. I sold my 870, and two customized SKS's that I had in order fund this build. And saved up a few dollars to round out the purchases. Most of the items were bought on lay away and not all at once so that made the whole deal worth it. :D :p

Yup, just like Buda mentioned. It is an Magpul AFG2, if you are looking for one. Hit up Blaxsun, he sells all sorts of Magpul koolaid to the masses. He has a post in this thread on page 2 if you need to pm him.

Thanks bud, I'll look into that.

Very nice! Thanks for showing it off.

What didn't you like about the AFG?

I hope to have my SSR-22 complete soon. I bought all the accesories while waiting for my PAL to come in the mail. The onlything left to get is the actual gun.

And thanks again for buying up the last 12.5" Dlask barrel :D:rolleyes:

lol ... I'm sure they'll make more.

As for the AFG, I liked it. It just didn't work with the way I set it up. I originally had my tac light on the left side and could hit it with my thumb when I had it. But I switched the light to the right side and couldn't activate it. So I bought an RVG instead and can now access the button better again with my thumb.

Very good-looking build. Dressing up your mags by adding the Pmag onto the bottom absolutely makes it perfect. I never could stand to look at the those idioitic skinny bananas poking out of otherwise-attractive rifles.

Your barrel looks to be nicely centered in the fore-end...but there appears to be a noticeable "droop" in the front end, visible where the standard SR22 rail meets up with the Dlask rail. What gives?

The Dlask rail sits a fraction of an inch higher than the scope rail causing the ladder protector to hump. Which in turn throws the lines off. I was going to address that by taking some material off from the rear post of the top hand guard rail to see if I could level it off a bit. I may have to do it to the all the posts as well so that it doesn't bend when I torque it down.
