My Stag 10 6.5cm hunting build, optics suggestions?

I picked up. 1-6x vortex viper gen 2 mrad but 400y max is my hunting zone. At 25-100yards the red dot center is amazing, daylight into the sun bright at a budget.

For hunting the VX-5hd 3-15x44 is freaking nice. I just got one for myself 3 days ago.

I'm gonna put my vx5 2-10x42 fire dot with the zero lock turret on my stag 10 If I ever get my parts from brownells. It's a nice simple scope. nothing beats the 1.5-5×20 for light weight though.

You can’t go wrong with Leupold.

Go with your gut. I’d say you should be able to squeeze off a decent shot at 10 times the power of your scope. I.E. a 1-4 will max out at 400 yds.

I just ordered a Primary Arms Platinum 1-8x24 with the recently discontinued ACSS Advanced Mil Reticle. Because the reticle is doscontinued I got it for 250 dollars less than the asking price. It's a beast of a scope, but I have heard nothing but praise for the scope. I'll have to see how it works out on the Stag 10, considering it's weight.

Just put this lightweight 6.5 together . Its going to be mainly used for deer hunting and bangin the odd steel plate or yote at 500 yards . Would love to get some optics suggestions. I was eyeing up a Leupold VX-3 4.5-14 with a custom 6.5 turret . I'm really impressed with the weight so far , don't really notice it being any heavier than my Tikka T3 but there's still a scope to go on it.
