My T1x continues to amaze me

I’ve had my .22LR T1x for about 6 months. This little monster is incredible. I’ve never had an issue with it. It’s so accurate it’s almost like cheating. I went to range today for the first time with the rifle in about a month. Only had time to run 50 bullets down the barrel. It was -6 degrees celsius (felt like -16). I was worried the cold weather would adversely impact the accuracy. Quite the opposite lol. My CCI SV was dynamite as usual. 5 shot groups at 50M all bullet holes touching. The rifle is amazing. Shooting off a Magpul bipod and rear bag.

I have it in a KRG Bravo stock (love it). Looks great to. I installed a yodave trigger spring. I can’t test weight of pull, but if I stare at the trigger long enough, it will fire... I swear lol.

I have found that at 50M CCI SV is incredible. The best of all ammo I’ve tried. (I’ve tried everything, literally).
When I sit behind the rifle at 100M or more I have found the Lapua Center X is the cats meow. It out performs CCI SV drastically at 100M or more. But again, at 50M nothing beats CCI SV.

I love my rifle. I can’t imagine how another .22LR could touch it for trigger, accuracy and smooth bolt function.

You're experience is that at 50 meters the CCI SV shoots better than the Center X?
 
I love my T1X too. Can’t say enough good things about it. I’ve only shot groups at about 25 yards but the 400ish gophers I piled up with it this past summer can confirm it’s consistency and accuracy at longer ranges. It loves CCI mini-mags.
 
I have the same setup and it also shoots greats, but when the temperature got cold, the CCI SV groups opened up from an average of around 3/8'' to 5/8' and sometimes more. I switched to SK Biathlon and wow, back to .325'' average at 50m with many 1/4'' in the lot. I ran out of SK's but I will give a shot to the 1/2 challenge if I get to the range a day the wind is better than the last days.
 
I've seen pretty nice ammo NOT shoot as well as I've liked...and I've seen the opposite too. No matter what, CCI SV seems to let me down just when I start to think it's become super-consistent. lol It IS my go-to and may always be...but in my rifles, it usually doesn't keep pace with SK standard, and REALLY doesn't hold a candle to SK Rifle Match..which isn't even top-tier ammo. Still, I never go shooting without CCI SV, and never use less 100-200 rounds per outing. Sometimes, allot more. :)

Threads like these make me consider a Tikka T1X, and I imagine I'll own one in 2020. We'll see. I'd like to try one first.
 
I was looking at one in a 16-inch barrel any accuracy difference compared to the 20-inch model.

My first trip to the range with my T1X and CCI SV was really good. I was happy to see I could group sub 1/2'' with such a cheap ammo. It was too good to be true, I can't get back to the groupings I had initially 3 shooting sessions after. Today was pretty bad with the CCI SV, almost 1'' groups at 50m with many flyers although I was keeping consistant sub 1/2'' groups with SK-Biathlon and Eley Biathlon. SK-match did not do too well, some nice groups but lacking consistency from a group to the other. Lapua Biathlon X-treme and Biathlon Sport were consistent, but groups were not as good as the SK-Biathlon.

Crazy how ammo changes your shooting with rimfire rifles AND temperature. -8C this am and very light wind.

I now it's a cardinal rule with rimfire guys to ignore regular clean regiments... it seems many feel they don't need to be cleaned or can go much longer without cleaning, as compared to a centrefire... but I'm from the camp of "clean it after every range session and put it away lubed. My rifle starts each day with a completely clean barrel. It's never lost a mm of accuracy in the 3000+ rounds or so I've stuffed down the pipe so far.

I have been shooting smallbore for 50+ yrs. I am in agreement with you. Clean after each range use. Learned that fr my Dad. Always worked for him and he shot 22 a long time. Sometimes I miss it, but try to strive for this regimen.
 
With the felt cleaning pellets, I run one down the bore after each shooting session.
When testing ammo, I clean in the same manner prior to the start of each lot number.
Where that first shot goes is noteworthy as well as how quickly it comes back to a consistent point of impact.
When a rifle won't be shot for a while a drop of cleaner will be put on the pellet followed by one clean pellet.
