It's Friday, I'm sitting at my desk, I should be on my way to Nipigon to hunt moose. I FINALLY get a tag and now its just gonn a gather dust. My hunting buddy had to bail on the trip. It sucks....:bangHead::bangHead::bangHead:

That sucks man. If you can convince my wife I can be ready to roll in an hour :)

Our moose hunt was a bust and we didn't see a thing (bad weather).

It's not a total waste. The money for the tag goes into conservation efforts so we can keep shooting moose for years to come :)
Still, sorry to hear about your hunting buddy bailing.

You wouldn't find me sitting at a desk with a moose tag, especially one won in a draw.

Get out of there! There are a hundred guys here that would love to be out moose hunting.

Moose tags can be had in Nipigon area almost every year depending on pool status. Going with your buddies is the best part of the trip. Everything else is secondary...

The season there is 2.5 months long, go whenever your buddy can, or find someone else. I never hunt opening week anymore.

If I had to wait for people to go with I would have to cancel 90% of my days out. I've gotten accustomed to hunting alone and frankly I really enjoy it. Huniting with friends is awesome as well but if you want to hunt you have to adapt. Getting people to have time off all at the same time and not have something get in the way is darn near imposible these days.

A solo moose trip takes a bit of effort and a different approach but it can be done.
