So I got this little badger off of the ee here a couple months ago. My first impression was that it's a fairly well made little single and quite lightweight. My plan for it was to have a fairly compact 22 for gophers while I'm shed hunting and for ruffed grouse while moose hunting. It weighs about 3# with a bushnell trs25 red dot mounted on top.

My first range session showed that it seems to like cci standard velocity and cci mini mags the best with the cci sv getting about .5" at 25 yards and the mini mag getting closer to 3/4". Not benchrest accuracy by any means but adequate for my purpose. It's fun to shoot and has a very nice trigger. I would guess around 2.5-3# but I havent used a scale on it yet. I had a few misfires off the start but havent had any in the last few hundred rounds. Theres sn internal safety that needs the barrel closed all the way and the action release lever needs to be pushed forward. After breaking it in the release lever does go forward on it's own every time now so no more misfires.

I packed it around for about 10km this am while looking for sheds. I didn't really notice it in my pack at all. It fits nicely in the water bladder compartment when folded in half. It folds to about 16x8" and is only about 1.25" wide at the widest.

I happened across a gopher patch while shed hunting and was able to shoot about 20 of them before running out of ammo. Next time I'll pack more than 30rds but in all fairness I was nearly out of gophers too. Inside of about 40yards I got nearly 100 percent hits and out to 70 yards I faired just ok but in my defense it was a bit windy and the light weight of the rifle makes it pretty hard to hold steady off hand. I was also held back by the red dot site which basically covers the whole gopher at 50 yards.

All in all I'm really quite happy with this handy little rifle and can see it being a constant companion while adventuring. It will be staying under the seat of my truck in its case at all times.

I finally ordered one the other day. I think it will be perfect for fall grouse on the quad/trike and a fun plinker. I'm glad to see they can produce some respectable accuracy.

The gun is simply too small for me unfortunately. Mine will be going up in the EE soon.

In what way is it too small? Length of pull? I'll admit that it's a bit short but still very shootable. I'm 6'3 with gorilla arms and I don't find it too small to shoot. I don't suppose yours is 22 mag is it? I think I need to add one to the collection.

mine lives in my quad all summer and has made several trips down the river in the boat.

i need to find a nice case for it.
something with a strap, couple side pouches.

my only complaint about the Lil' Badger is that its fairly open for crap to get into the workings.
with the area at the hammer and then the area where the trigger is you can get a whole lot of dirt and sand in there.
i never really noticed it until i took mine down to clean it and holy cow was there a LOT of dirt and leaf's and such in there.

Just a plain .22lr. it's serviceable but I have a few cooey 39s I shoot much better so I don't see the point of keeping it.

I bought one a couple of weeks ago at the Chilliwack gun show and have taken it to the range twice. I really like the compactness and it shoots great at the 25 yard mark which I sighted it in for. Peep sights are nice but the adjustment steps for elevation are too coarse. My 5'16" body finds it a bit small but very manageable.
A keeper.

I'm a huge fan of the little badgers. My 22 lr has taken more game/pests than I can count. Only gun I own that has taken more is my waterfowl gun! They are so simple to shoot, cleaning is a breeze too. I have a Henry h001 that I don't even shoot or use because of the badger.

Had mine out today, glad to read about addressing the misfires, Ill try it tomorrow. I'm still lukewarm about mine, the trigger is scary light, but accuracy is good, and it will fit anywhere, in the box on my skidoo, in a bag in the canoe, lol, starting to sound like Dr. Seuss. Was thinking about selling it today, but will give it another try tomorrow.

If you have a misfire, look at the case head before trying again, I bet theres no firing pin mark. It helps if you close it with some authority. Make sure that the action opening lever is pushed forward all the way and I bet it fires every time.

Wonder if they chamber the 17Wsm..
Thought about reaming out to a 17 hornet or a 22 hornet, figured there would be to much hassle converting the firing pin,
Great little pack guns none the less.. like a little red dot or a 3by9 scoop , not a fan of the factory sights.
