My Tavor

It looks like the longer version of the RPM Precision keymod fore-end. I've got the shorter version on mine and really like it.

TV, what handguard is that? I'm looking for something to mount bipod without adding too much weight and that looks to be perfect.

You don't think that looks fugly? Plus functionally it looks like a nightmare. You can see in TV's photo that he has the BCM keymod stubby vertical grip. Yet look where your hand will be if you use that grip the way many of us are now using them. Poorly thought out. The only real use of that model would be for mounting a regular bipod further forward. Crap for CQB. Let's be honest the Tavor isn't a precision carbine. I'd wait until they get it right.

At the expense of any other practicality? Why not try out the Podium instead? It's not a precision rifle.

Yeah, I'm tempted to try the podium but I don't like how wide it is, it's location, or where it sits the rifle. I store my Tavor with the grip stuffed beside the driver's seat, so the podium ruins that.

I like the idea of being able to have a quick detach a bipod with sitting height legs. The Tavor is not a precision rifle, but with the trigger upgrades it is a darling of a varmint rifle. Just needs a bipod. I currently use shooting sticks.

What about them apples? :)

I was one of it's biggest skeptics. But I really like it. I think the reason it works well is due to the rear balance point of the Tavor. The width makes it surprisingly stable. Plus being able to deploy it in a manner similar to the thumb trick for the mag release is very slick.

I don't know if it would work for your application. Worth checking one out though before deciding.

I just bought a second Tavor so I'll be adding some mods as well. I'm looking at the gear works handguard with built in spot for tactical light. Light and stubby vertical grip are all I need for options on the front. I like the look as well. Anyone have the gear works handguard?

I did the same thing. Really gives it that classic TAR21 profile, while making it noticeably slimmer and lighter up front. There was no-one stocking that GHW front sight post in Canada, but the guys at gungear.ca were able to get it to me fast in spite of the posties troubles and at a good price!

Only thing was, for me, the front sight post was too tall, even when screwed all the way in. My rounds would hit 8" low at 100m. So I got a cheapo A2 sight post, screwed it in enough to still give me room for adjustment, then clipped it down to size. Perfect, now!
