My thoughts on TacStar Benelli m4 Shotshell Carrier

I can sum it up pretty fast; garbage.

My reasoning:

1. As you may or may not know it attaches with only one bolt (which apparently comes loose when you shoot no matter how much lock tight you use). The one bolt of course is insufficient to attach a bracket of the size especially when it is at the back of the carrier.

2. When it is attached it sits crooked on the gun; it is not too noticeable but I will say it was noticeable enough that my brother and my dad both commented on it.

3. The plastic shell carrier is bigger then the receiver so it looks very out of place on the gun even if you use Velcro tape and mount it straight onto the receiver.

4 The carrier has a flair to it; it bends outward at the front which makes it look very cheap and not at all suitable for a $2000+ shotgun.

5 when you tighten the one screw up enough to make the carrier stop moving around it actually pinches your action and seriously interferes with the movement of the bolt of the gun. BIG problem.

So in short... if you are going to buy a TacStar Benelli m4 Shotshell Carrier be advised it is highly likely you will be as disappointed as I was. Stupid me for not looking online before I purchased because I would have seen the above list of issues and I would have made a far more informed decision.

My thoughts are if you can afford a m4 why would your first choice be a tac star?

Lack of research before hand, and it was the more expensive M4 shell holder that flaherty's had - so I went on the flawed assumption it would be better. I was very wrong. I certainly didn't think for something so simple they could butcher it so bad.

Benelli,s dont work will we shell carriers that need to be bolted to the action, thats why most of us run Velcro, eaither our brand S&J D.S.C or the 3 gun gear.
