my tikka t3 is awesome!!

I'm actually quite disappointed in my t3x lite in 7mag. Hopefully it smartens up with some more break-in and a bit more fiddling with the ammo. I was going to sink a bunch of money into fluting the barrel and bolt, and seeing if I could slab a bit of the action off, but if the accuracy isn't there I can't justify the expense.

THIS is a HUNTING rifle! Period dump money into a bench rest for sub MOA, if you want a light rifle grab a tikka. Your going to pay for marketing but they are just as good as any other rifle, black and white they will take down whatever your after.

My T3 is definitely NOT a precision rifle, nor would I get it in anything above 308.

For precision shooting Trigger is too heavy, stock is not adjustable, barrel too light for 5+ shot grouping. BUT it is a hunting rifle that can do .4MOA, good enough, not wasting funds to make it precision. That money goes to the precision rifle.

I just picked up a t3 7 mm Mag. First group I shot with it was 1" with factory ammo. Second group was just over 1/2" with mild handloads.

My handy 20" barreled T3 Battue in 30-06 is a lights out shooter, period. I don't spend too much time measuring paper groups, but at it's last range sight-in day, my friend embarassed me by posting a .4" 3-shot group (clover) at 50m with my rifle. It's a keeper. No factory brand in the world will have a perfect track record, and for those that truly got T3 lemons (meaning you didn't bugger with the stock, it's properly seated, experimented with different factory ammo, etc.)--just return it. There's no greater pleasure than owning a rifle that works very well and most of us don't want to hear gross generalizations based on a few bad experiences. Just for the record, my Battue is a rather average shooter, ~1 to 2 MOA shooter with most factory 165-180 grain ammo, then I discovered 150 grain Federal Fusion! Just play around with them a bit, sometimes you get lucky and it shoots the first thing you throw in it well, other times requires some experimentation.

Folks that talk of 3-shot groups reminds me of hearing of lottery winning. Congratulate them, then discover they got 3 numbers. With 3 shot just need 1 lucky shot combine with 2 shot same hole.
A single 3 shot group win is like a 3 number lotto win. Same ticket multi win is sometime else.

It's a hunting rifle. Realistically a one shot group is all that matters. As long as I know that it will put it in the same place the first time every time.

it's funny when people want to see targets of the great groups with there rifles, could make 5 shots touching at 50yds and tell everyone it's 200yds lol

That's the problems, folks are so fixated by the numbers they insist on posting group sizes for a hunting rifle as if it was a precision rifle.
I can post many 3 shot grouping through one hole that I know I pulled at least one shot but by luck bingo, same hole.

Do that five times and you'll have a 5 shot group.

Try posting a 3/8" 5 shot group at 200yd (that was actually shot at 50yd) and see what happens. Make sure you have your flame suit on. :)
