My Top 4, What Are Yours?

I like your response. Reasonableness: There is precious little of it left in the world at this point.

I just felt your original post was wildly over-the-top and elitist. Your follow-up shows that this is not the case though. It's all good.

Likes and dislike are highly personal. "There is no account for taste", as they say.

I must say, one of the few times that "reasonableness" and I have been mentioned in the same sentence, usually I'm to one extreme or the other. I do appreciate your sentiment though.

And while I've often been accused of being opinionated, I've seldom if ever been called elitist, I'm far more beer than champagne...

Take good care of that phenomenal P7 collection!!!

My top 4:

1= Ruger SR1911 in 45ACP There is just something about a 1911. Not perfect fit and finish like a custom but it just works and it is just so much fun to shoot.
1= Pardini GT6 in 9m. The easiest to shoot, best trigger and most accurate gun I have ever used. If you can't shoot straight with this gun there is no hope for you. Not as nice looking as the 1911 but boy can it shoot.
3 Browning Buckmark 5.5" stainless slab side barrel. With Red Dot site. Accurate, reliable easy to use and clean. Great training gun.
4 Sig P226 Enhanced Elite. SRT. Great combat style gun, great fit and finish looks the same after many rounds as it did new. Always works always shoots where you point. This is my SHTF gun.

you need to post a pick of that Pardini! would love one at some point.

I'll play:

1. Ruger GP-100 38SPl/.357Mag
2. CZ 75 Shadowline 9MM
3. Uberti Cattleman 45 Colt 4 3/4
4. M&P PRO 9MM 5"

Special Mention
1. Dlask Built Norinco framed 1911 .45ACP 5"
2. Uberti El Patron 38Spl/.357Mag 5.5"
3. S&W 686 105.14" 38Spl/357Mag
4. Tanfoglio Model "L" 9MM/.40Cal

All 8 shoot are very accurate well made firearms. The Ruger GP-100 gets the most play this year. Time to get back to the Shadowline or PRO next year.

Take care

Bob

If I could just figure out how to post pictures. I love my Pardini and my 1911. They are good friends I usually take them out together. So long as I pat them both regularly take them out to play they a both happy. Not really demanding at all but they do like to play. The slide on the the Pardini is so smooth it makes oil on a glass seem rough. Damn, now I have the urge to take them both to the range.

OK this is my Ruger 1911. I will try and add my Pardini latter.

Oh well I tried. Seriously there has got to be an easier way of downloading photos that the way this site works. Very frustrating, I know I am a bit of a technical duffus but....

These are guns that are on my bucket list. I will probably never own them in this life time...but maybe the next...?

Filched from Sailer's gun safe, while he wasn't looking... The Luger has it all: romance, mystique, nostalgia and performance! Before the Glock became "America's Pistol" ... it was the Luger during the turn of the century!

I saw one of these charming antiques under the glass at the gun shop today. I can imagine a couple of circa-1920's old boys having a laugh about it and then taking it into the back alley to fire a few shots ...

Hopefully this one is easier to clean and reassemble than a %^&*@# Ruger Mk III...

One of these, in 41 Magnum, fellas - you won't find a funner six gun on the planet! Tons of horsepower, and absolutely unbeatable with patty-cake target loads! If anybody has any of these guns and is willing to donate them to a financially destitute and incorrigible gun sl*t...please give me a call!

the Smith N frame is the perfect platform for the 41. I'd love a 57/657. Sadly i don't reload and ammo is next to impossible to find these days. I did see some remington 210 gr a few weeks ago at a gun store in 100 Mile House BC but it was going for $84 per box of 50.... ouch

For my first set of 4
HK USP Expert
CZ 75 Canadian Edition
Browning High Power
Beretta 92

The second set of 4
S&W 17 K 22 Masterpiece
T/C Contender in 357 Maximum
1911 in any caliber (22, 9, 40, 45 or 7.62X25)
Beretta Neos 6" with red dot optic.

To shoot:
Less Baer
Sig226
S&W 27&28
Colt Woodsman 2nd Series

Alternates:
Luger P08
Colt Python

I managed to get a 6" M57 last year, came with dies, two bags of brass, and 2 boxes of 210 gr XTPs....so now I either need to start reloading, or find a friend who just loves to reload....One of these days when I'm not too busy, it will get done.

For me it would be the following:

Sig 220 Equinox .45 ACP
Wilson Combat Classic Supergrade
S&W 627 V-Comp
S&W 460 XVR Bone Collector

Sig 226r elite stainless- 9mm
Glock 22 gen 4- .22 lr.... I mean .40 j/k
Beretta Px4 storm- 9mm
Girsan Yavuz compact bright white- 9mm (beretta 92 copy)

Want a Ruger gp100 stainless, they were 699 when I looked at them, now they're close to a grand.
