My Toy

very nice... I just didn't like you calling it a 'weapon' all the time. It's not a weapon. A weapon is something that is used as such. It's a firearm.

by definition a weapon is:
1. An instrument of attack or defense in combat, as a gun, missile, or sword.
1. (Military / Arms & Armour (excluding Firearms)) (Military / Firearms, Gunnery, Ordnance & Artillery) an object or instrument used in fighting
3. anything that serves to outwit or get the better of an opponent

Since in Canada it is illegal to use a firearm in any of those ways and we are all about being legal and up holding the law, we call them firearms.

Hello

First of all, very cool video - you have a good voice for this kind of stuff, and that gun does look quite neat.

I hope you forgive me for dealing with a pet peeve:

Since in Canada it is illegal to use a firearm in any of those ways and we are all about being legal and up holding the law, we call them firearms.

Hmmm... the law... let's look at the law shall we?

“weapon”

« arme »

“weapon” means any thing used, designed to be used or intended for use

(a) in causing death or injury to any person, or

(b) for the purpose of threatening or intimidating any person

and, without restricting the generality of the foregoing, includes a firearm;

Sorry, a firearm is a weapon BY LAW. Besides, it's in the name - fireARM. The arm doesn't stand for one of those meat tubes attached to your shoulder you know.

Hahaha, a firearm is a weapon. In the military we call them weapons. I refer to my own firearms as weapons. They have several different uses, but to me they will always be weapons. Call yours what you will, as is your right.

+1. He can call it the classic "boomstick" for all I care.

you have a good voice for this kind of stuff, and that gun does look quite neat.

Agree. On both counts. You should look at doing voice overs or commercials, or even radio.

Sorry, a firearm is a weapon BY LAW

Somebody can disagree with me if they want, but in the military, we called them weapons - as in "where is your weapon?" or "did you clean your weapon?" or "don't sweep me with that weapon or I'll take it from you and shove it up you a**" :D

The reason for it is twofold. 1) it's what they are; and, 2) it reinforces that it's not a toy or harmless or innocuous, and by constantly reminding you of that you will always treat it with respect.

....Sorry for hijacking the thread, OP. It was a good vid and buy BTW
