Couldn't find any examples on the EE. What do you guys think it's worth? Looks exactly like this one. Ruger p94

And your guess on value?

cherrybum's suggestion of $350 seems to me a bit low. If I had bought it new and that was all it fetched used I would prefer to keep it and shoot the value out of it, but if you need cash, you need cash.

It is actually worth whatever your uncle is willing to give that you are willing to take. It was not a big seller new, not because of anything wrong with it but because of more popular, fashionable alternatives. Consequently, there isn't much of a used market, as you discovered when researching in the EE. Some general guidelines on factors to consider are the price paid new, the current price if the model is still in production, and comparison to used prices of guns with similar characteristics. If the condition is very good I am reluctant to sell a gun for less than 75% of what I paid, but I don't expect to get more than 80% unless the supply of new ones has dried up and it is a sought after model.

If you are concerned that you are having to take too big a hit, try asking your uncle for a condition of the sale that if he decides not to keep it, he offers it back to you for not more than he paid for it.

With out looking at the other posts my first thought was $400. Like the others said it was never a hot seller but it is a strong reliable pistol.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking $450 with case and extras. I don't need to sell it but just bought a sig p226 and a glock 21 gen 4 and just waiting to get them. Just don't think I'll use the ruger anymore.

i have a similar gun in my vault.
a Ruger P89 with the same Hogue grips that your running.
ive had the gun since new, real nice gun, ive always enjoyed shooting it.
you dont see a lot of them out at the range since most people went to Glocks in the late 80's and 90's and now everyone is going M&P or exotic.

but, at the end of the day the P series is a good heavy reliable gun.
and good for left handed shooters as most of the controls are ambidextrous.
years ago i was gonna sell mine but realized that i would never get out of it what i thought it was worth, so i just keep it and take it to the range once every couple years to remind myself of the 80's, haha!
