I just did, ordered a new G22 Gen 3 RTF2 from P&D lol. I have always liked the frame the best anyhow grip wise. Do gen 4 mags fit in gen 3 guns? As i ordered extra mags with my Gen 4. Im probably gonna keep both, its nice to have a backup to shoot. I just was wondering if i have to order some more gen 3 mags.

I believe that Gen 3 mags will fit the Gen 4's but not the other way around! Might be wrong though.

gen 3 magazines WILL fit gen 4 guns if the mag realease is left on the left hand side of the pistol..... if you move the safety to make the pistol "ambi" then only gen4 mags can be used.

I have about 600 rounds thru my Gen4 G17 and no problems, i like the grip texture so much I have a G34 Gen4 arriving next week, as well as a gen4 G26.... otherwise I have a gen2 G17L and a Gen2 G19, and a gen3.5 G17.

the gen4 pistols are excellent, the only problems I have heard is extracors and springs, each of which is a simple fix IF it affects you.... stacking tolerences is the problem, as with any production gun, every once in a while the gods will line up and make a lemon.

do not fear the gen4's, less then 3% have any issues, and with new production always hitting the shelves quality is weeding that out.

Is it just possible that there actually is something wrong with his gun?

I'm not a huge Glock fan. But I do respect that they are NORMALLY a very reliable gun. So for one to suffer from that many stoppages? To me it suggests that the Great Glock Machine (GGM for short) may well have just managed to pop out a lemon that needs some attention from a smith or warranty center to make right.

Well... I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Hopefully it was bad ammo. The guys at Reliable suggested that, in future, I hold on to any misfires so they can check them out.

I have to admit I was a little panicked about this issue and posted on Glock talk too. Within minutes they had clued me into the fact ammunition can be inconsistent and, quiet honestly, I didn't bother reading every post after that. I figured there wasn't much point speculating further and that time would tell.

Clean you pistol and use good quality ammo. I'll bet the problems disappear.
