It's an H&R Ultra Varmint in .223. It's a single shot, because it was the most accurate for my Highschool budget :p
I'm waiting for my 36X Sightron Scope from Mystic Precision. There seems to be no wobbling at all in the action and it came with a chamber lock, trigger extension thing, and a rail for a bipod. So far, I'm quite impressed. I'm hoping that I get my scope before Sunday, because that's when I'm going to the range, but then again  Anyways, enough claptrap. Here's some pics! :dancingbanana:

Hopefully you got a good one. I had an Ultra Varmint Fluted chambered in 22-250. Took some work as it shot like absolute garbage at first. Sold it within six months. My buddy had a 223 in the same rifle that shot really well. It's kind of a hit and miss with these guns. Greybeard outdoors has a forum dedicated to these rifles. If you ever have a problem go see them. Also make sure you keep the latch area dry (free of oil or solvent) otherwise it'll open up automatically after firing. Have fun.

I have no idea, because the most I've looked through is my 50x binos and a cheapo 3-9x Bushnell 3200 scope.
When I get it, which is hopefully soon, ;) I'll take some scope shots with my camera.

For hunting, I think I'll use the Bushnell, and save the expensive Sightron for target. It was a tad too expensive to be hauling around and scratching it up. Plus, I don't thing 36x is practical for hunting

Now all I need to get is a bipod... after my bank account recovers from the sudden loss of funds :D

I've got one of those rifles in .243 and it will shoot 1/2 MOA with handloads. Most factory ammo will stay around MOA at 100 yards as well. Hopefully yours is one of the good ones as well!

Well, my scope isn't in yet, so I decided to put on my Bushnell scope, and found out that the trigger contacts the scope and doesn't hit the firing pin. Doh.
So I went to town and was told that they didn't have any scope rings. Double Doh.
After that bit of disappointment, I took a closer look and figured that if I could only raise the scope base itself about 1/2" I could fit my scope on. Then as I was adjusting my scope distance, when I was torquing the screws, that the crappy mounts it came with were soft pot metal and stripped the threads. Triple Doh.
I guess I'm stuck in the waiting game for my scope...
I might go on Sunday and just break the rifle in without the scope, so when I do get it, the barrel will be broken in.
But before that, I'm off to town (with not alot of expectance) to see if there's a certain scope and mounts (that better not be potmetal ;) ) waiting for me in the mailbox. :D

Edit: In order to not double post, I'm just editing this one for a small update.
I just went to town to see if my scope was in, which it wasn't  and bought 40 rounds of .223 for... *drumroll*
...$67
Me thinks it's time to order some bulk. :p

Well, here I am, one month later, and because of school etc, I've only shot it at one time. My first impressions were ones of great disappointment. Like a previous poster said, it shoots like a shotgun with 00 shot with Sellier and Bellot 55gr FMJ. I read somewhere that someone got the same results, and tried 45gr HP and got sub MOA groups.

I'm going to see if I can't get my hands on some of those, and if it still doesn't shoot worth a damn, I guess I'll get something alot nicer, like a Tikka T3 Varmint or something.;)

On the otherhand, the 36x Sightron scope is absolutely fantastic. At 100 yards I can see where I've shot without going to the spotting scope.:dancingbanana:

I'm really hoping that I can fix this spray problem with different ammunition. :(

Well, she's a winner.
I just graduated, so as a present to myself I went to the gravel pit with some (very expensive) ammunition types and was determined to get a good zero.
After trying the Sellier and Bellot some more, and getting increasingly annoyed, I tried some 55gr SP Federals.
Aha!
1/2" groups at 100 yards, 4" to the left and 8" down. I zeroed at 200 yards.
Then I took a target out to ~325 yards. I was pulling 1-2" groups consistently with about 15-20km/winds. I owe the amazing windage compensation to my iPod's ballistic calculator, iSnipe. I owe the range estimation to my scope. It has indicators on the focusing, so when I hit 200 yards, I saw something that was perfectly in focus, and then put the zeroing target there. It might not be exactly on, but it sure worked ;)

Just before I packed up, I decided that as an ultimate challenge (well, a challenge for a inexperienced newbie like me, anyways. ;) ) I would shoot a golf ball with no windage readings other than the trees and some tosses of dry sand in the air. I gave myself 2 shots to get it right.

Well, here is the result. The first shot spun the ball around, because I was too far to the right, and the next was a tad high.

This last one was a target I shot just for kicks and to see what this rifle/scope could really do. I was so excited at the time, that the first shot was a bad one. :(
The golf ball is there for size comparison.

I do apologize for my hand in the pictures. The golf ball didn't want to sit at the right angle :D I didn't take pictures of my zeroing target because I didn't have my camera with me, and I didn't want to bring a rusty old propane tank home.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with my results. Next, I'm going to get a reloading kit, and see if I can't get this thing to 1/4" at 100 yards with handloads.

Also on my list is a bi-pod, and shooting mat. I was using my jacket and my ammunition box as a rest, while laying in the sand... I'm also going to get rid of the boring black and Duracoat it a digital camo pattern, like the CF uniform colours.

Excellent shooting TM, I knew you would figure it out where you were having accuracy problems. Next step is reloading your own. It is going to get expensive shooting factory loads. When you get a chance come down the beach and we will reload a few boxes. My new 223 is in transit and I have received my Sightron scope from Jerry a couple of weeks ago.
