I just need to get some non-boat tail bullets and I'll be down like a shot. (pun intended

)
Also, to solve my bi-pod problem, I took a look around, saw how expensive (and nice

) the Rempels were and decided to make my own F-class style bi-pod. Somehow I just can't get enough of that warm fuzzy feeling of building something custom. I think it's the fact that I can make something I can't afford.
Anyways, I broke out my somewhat rusty AutoCAD skills, and got a preliminary drawing going. Here it is. It's just a preliminary drawing, so bear with the unorganized and unprofessional drawing. I drew it as new ideas hit me. This is version 4. I took the best of both of the Sinclairs and the Rempels and combined them with the consideration that I'll be working in sand, hence the big feet.
I just realized I typoed the 8 1/2"x4" part. Disregard that x after the 4.
I forgot to write it down, but I already have that rail. It came with the rifle. I think I'm just going to weld it on the bracket. The threaded rod part will go right through the arms, via the skelletonizing. The rifle already has a mono-pod in the back, but I found it to be a tad too short. I'll see if this bi-pod fixes that.
I may detail exactly how I do it, and then start another thread on how I did it, with lots of pictures.
I don't know what plating I will be using. I have a ton of 3/16" steel plate, so I may use that.
I've also decided to Duracoat my rifle and bi-pod in CADPAT digicam. I just don't like the black for some reason. I don't know why...
