Just picked it up today. CZ455 in .22LR with 2-7x28 Leupold Rimfire scope.

Can't wait to get out and shoot it, but I probably won't have time until after Christmas :(
Had to be content with running some patches through the bore, looking through the scope, and working the bolt.

That looks like the "American" 455. I just got my son the LUX. Slightly different stock. Otherwise, same thing. Nice rifle, take good care of it and you will get a lifetime of service out of it. Maybe that will become your kid's first gun...

Nice purchase. I was just fondling my CZ452 American. Very practical gun by combining light weight with superb accuracy. Doubt I'll every be able to get my 10/22 to shoot like it no matter how much money I throw at it.

Congrats, I WARN YOU NOW GET A REAL BIG SAFE, they grow like an infectious disease, a very fun and addicting infectious disease. I've had my license for 2 months, I'm at 6 guns already...

Word to the wise about zeroing your scope :yingyang: , esp. if you're going to be doing it "just" with ammo, and not with boresighting/lasers/whatnot...:stirthepot2:...

Zero at first even from 10 yards - if only to get roughly on paper and to adjust for windage ;) , then zero to 25 yards and after that, 50 yards.....

Welcome and way to go on a nice accurate rifle. You wont regret that purchase. Buy a big safe because your going to become obsessed. Great choice in scope buy the way, you have done your research and it shows.

This is how I got my First Gun,

My farther passed away when I was still young but lucky my mom kept his guns for me.

Great gun will be fun to shoot for sure,

Just curious where you got it from?
And where are you shooting, notice you too are in Burnaby?

Got it at Wanstall's in Maple Ridge. A great bunch.
I haven't joined a range yet. It's on my 'to do' list. Been to the one in PoCo, but it seems pretty busy.

Welcome aboard partner, buy a real big gun safe.

x2 agree on this, When i first started 2 or 3 years ago, there was the 8-gun cabinet for around a 100 bucks and I was like sweet I'm buying this, then my buddy said no don't! trust me, if you ever listen to what I say, buy a much bigger one you will see. I was almost certain I would have never filled it my entire life.. a year or so later I have 7 long guns, Thank God I bought the 16-gun cabinet, now it's only half full :S hahaha and welcome aboard, you have a second life ahead of you :)

There are SO many guns I'd like right now, but I'm going to stick to learning my rimfire right now (and also the SKS I have on order)....I've got a lot to learn, and of course SAFETY is paramount. My scope was bore-sighted when it was installed, but I have no idea about "zeroing" it....
