My Vz-58 Finally Arrived!

I had pre-ordered one of those PA optics back in July but gave up waiting on it. So yeah, I'm interested in how it performs.
 
Hey OP - yeah post some pics of the completed build with shot to chit targets when you get back tomorrow. I am off manana to shoot too. Friday is Range Day!
 
Well I finally managed to take my VZ-58 out for the first time today! I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THIS RIFLE!

The Rifle itself is just a fantastic piece of weaponry. The Primary Arms Red Dot could not be more crisp. Was very easy to see at 100 Yard shooting.

As promised here is the link to my day at the range with target pictures as well!

Descriptions have been posted with which target was shot with whatever position I was in at the time.

Let me know what you all think. Like I say in the images LOTS of room for improvement but with shooting Russian Military Surplus I could not be happier!

Also. I really cannot wait until I get my new Folding Telescopic stock and Foregrip/Bipod attachments. This will really help with shooting... Having a 15" trigger pull is rough!
 
Fantastic! Super fun guns eh!!!!!!!!! Nice shooting too by the way. I have 5/30s but only take the 5/10s to the range - they need a cleaning. You must be pretty happy.

Kelly's is the best for the mag adapter. Mine had to be milled by a gunsmith

The time has come to revive this post! I have almost completed my VZ-58. My parts from Zahal showed up today! I could not have been more excited!

The finished product. I have to say I am really REALLY impressed on how easy it was to change these parts out!

Tomorrow my Magwell Adapter and 10 round mags come in! That will put the finishing touches to my VZ!

All in all. I had a blast doing this! Can't wait to throw more ammo down range tomorrow!

Good stuff buddy - gotta hand it to you I reckon you did your research and know exactly how you wanted to tweak the platform. Nicely done and you are a great shooter. Good times eh?!

Here she is in all her glory! So happy with the entire process! Finally got my final parts in. Only thing left is to machine myself a muzzle break!
