I got this from another amazing nut. It's an Erma Werke .22LR. From what I researched, a German made Ithica/Henry lever gun. She was quite rough and I was going to give it a complete tear down and redo, however I decided not to get too far into it as I need a beater rifle for knock around/crappy weather duty. I stripped the wood, oiled it with a mix of tru-oil and linseed and just touched up the blue. It looks better now (I think) but still just a beater. Now I just got to take it our and put a few hundred rounds through it. :D

Here's how she started out. Dark and shiny, scratched and dented.

And here she is now. Sometimes I like my girls blonde. :)

I bought one of those years ago, I had to have it destroyed cause there was a crack that had developed in breech and it was FTF. I took it to my gunsmith and askes if we could weld it and machine it back down. It looked like it could be done, but he said it was done. (sniff, wipes tear from eye) I paid 75$ for it and it was really accurate.

I would take to cover off and have a look.

Ithaca 72 was the pre Henry H001. If you have the Ithaca and strip it down take a look at the manual for a Henry the guns are about 95% the same. Nice Rifle. I have one. Mines Very accurate with bullets around 33-37 Grains. I can snipe Grouse Iron sights with mine out to about 81 yards (best shot to date). I practice on fist sized balloons at 100 yards regularly. It's my Never Sell .22...it's my only .22 but still.

Have fun shooting it they are FUN. My dad isn't a shooter and not that fond of guns but when he shot my Ithaca he put over 200 rounds down range and said he want's to do it again...so obviously the Gun is addictive :D
