Today I added a 1955 to my collection... thanks to Al @ Westrifle who made it all happen.

Beauty! Is it a letter gun or straight up '55?

Straight up 55... letter series has no (Star) cartouches on dust cover or stock. I believe this to be rarer then letter series.... as it was only done straight up for a short time in 1955.... I am sure someone will chime in and correct me if I am wrong.

Nice piece! I have 1 too but its a refurb, hope to get a non refurb 1 day.

I believe you are correct, sir. Makes that find all the sweeter! I've got a couple 1955 stamped letter guns and some regular letter guns, but no straight up '55.
