My Wife is Pregnant so I need a .22

I started both daughters on a red ryder. Then a hot shot was introduced and loved by all. Tried the cooey 39(and kept it of course) but the spring is just to stiff. The canuck is lighter yet but same spring. Upgraded the oldest( now 9) to a BL22 micro and she likes it. I do too. Built some metal targets and we spend many a warm day on the lawn making noise together. Best part of this for me.

try a cz scout....... add mags and adult stock later or a bl22 micro... browning is offering a full size stock for half price if you want to be ready for later... and later comes really quickly...

I'd wait until the youngin is born. He/she might want a semi-auto!

i would recommend that he DOSEN'T get a semi to start out with. good bold or lever would be the best. it teaches them the proper way to shoot and not to rush thire shots. if they have a semi all they will want to do is unload the clip as fast as they can.... thats just my two cents!

My 3.5 yr old grandson already has a Savage MKIGY single shot boltie waiting for him, but I will start him out with a CZ 630 Slavia air rifle that's right now sitting in the safe, beside the Savage.

I started with air rifles myself and the one-shot, one-kill mindset has never left me.
