Went out yesterday afternoon for the first sit in the blind this season, my wife wanted to join me and took the day off work to do so. I had already taken a nice mulie this year so she was first up to shoot. All I can say is she's got horseshoes where the sun don't shine… 3 hours in the blind and this toad walks in and starts scraping at 80 yards. We've had him on camera and he's been active mostly at night, so this was a bit of a surprise. She let fly with the A-bolt in 7mm rem mag and struck true, he ran about 50-60 yards and piled up in the bush. I sure hope she doesn't think they all come this easy! He started out a 7x6 with double split g2's but broke off one of his splits very recently so ended up being a 6x6. He's headed to the taxidermist tomorrow, looking forward to some more meat in the freezer as well!
