For a long time now I have been trying to get the old gal to shoot cast boolets, my first attempt failed, in that the commercial cast boolets I bought tumbled and sometmes missed the target at 25 yards. It was suggested by some good folks on here that they were too hard and to small for my bore, they were correct.
Next plan was to get a mould and cast and I chose a 8MM Lee mold because I thought they would drop bullets at .324, they dropped at .326 which would not chamber.so another purchase from Henry on this site and I had a Lee sizer in .323 and a universal taper die show at the mail box.
I proceeded to size a few of what I had cast and chose three loads.
The first load was 6Gr Unigue behind the cast 175 gr boolet it shot about 1 1/2 " group at 50 yards, then 5 GR Trail Boss that shot about 3" and finally 12GR of IMR4227 and to my surprise a nickel covered that group, I was very pleased. Anyways thanks for the help and suggestions.
I thought I had given up on the old girl but patience has paid off.
