My Win SX3 jams in cold - fixed

I am amazed at all the comments about the ammo. Guns worth 1000 bucks and they won't cycle this cheap target stuff, yet my 500 Mossberg runs em all day? WTF?

You are comparing your pump to a semi??? Big difference plus add another 400-500 to that 1000 for a x3. I know my x3 camo in 3 1/2 by the time it was shipped from epps was all of 1500.00. Ouch

I've used the cheap Federal loads, they don't seem to have as many problems as the cheap Winchester or Remington loads. My semi has a big preference for those (even the light 2 3/4 loads). Also, I generally clean it all up then just put a couple drops of oil on a rag and rub the metal to metal surfaces down instead of drops of oil on rails, you end up with a lot less oil in there but in all the right places in a nice fine film.

Sorry it seemed that way.

My comments were about my pump having issues in the cold! My auto hasn't had any issues at all!

I am comparing my $500 Mossberg 930 to a $1100 SX3.

:onCrack:

WOW

I vote FAIL 2011 on this one :p

Notice they were 2 seperate posts! ;)

The Fail of the year is you assuming I only had one shotgun! You know what they say about assuming right? :jerkit:

Because I was about to buy an SX3 and chose to put the extra cash into my car. I bought the 930 instead, and it feeds cheap ammo all day long without issue. If I had bough the SX3 and had issues I would have been pissed.

Regardless it all worked out and turned out the gun works just fine, but all the people on here blaming the ammo is kinda ridiculous. Blaming the ammo as it could obviously never be their super expensive gun. :jerkit:

So you make a point of posting that here? I am sure that post helped the OP in his search to find the problem with his SX3. Or did it just make you feel better that you saved a couple a bucks?

You do realize that I was the first post, and the one who actually pinpointed the OP's issues right?

Everything after that was useless posting by everyone in this thread if you wanna get all technical about it.

My post about the more expensive shotguns not cycling cheap ammo was a serious question. How can a gun such a gun not function on cheap ammo? What is the reasoning? Why does a cheaper one have no issues? Why would I buy a gun that will only function on premium ammo?

The post you just quoted was a response to your own question! Then you ask why I would post that here? WTF?

Either you are looking to pick a fight and playing some serious troll games or you are very forgetful!

To sum up your posts in this thread:

Yes the recoil spring is in the Stock. But I also agree it is probably an ammo problem.

So yeah we can clearly see that your posts have been most helpful here and that your only concern is helping the OP, and staying on topic. :jerkit:

No sorry required. I just commented on what I read. I know nothing about the 930 mossberg but have owned 500 and 835 with no issues in the pumps and now have a 535 pump which works fine.
On the semi have three x2 and a x3 in win and a couple of old golds so can comment on them. I can honestly say I have not shot cheep ammo out of any since I reload 99% of my ammo. But all will cycle light target loads in the 12ga
That being said one of the gold in a 10ga I bought new in the 90's when they came out. She has probally 1000 rounds through it now and if I put factory winchester supremes in it they will jam.She trys so hard to get them out after they fire I have seen the brass torned down the side and some torn right off.Seems they swell up big time after firing and get wedged in the chamber. Perhaps that is what some are seeing in the cheeper shells a swelling of the base, I don't really know.Take care

Yeah sure ... youre the one who compared a pump to a semi...

Please show me where I did this. The posts when read separately do no such thing, hence my putting them in 2 posts.

You know what just for you I will edit my post to be easier for you to understand. :jerkit:

And here's one of your greatest moments.

So you don't have an answer to that question then?

We can add this quote to your list of useless posts in this thread. ;)

Sorry I forgot your cheap pump gun doesn't jam. Why did you post that? To justify yourself being cheap? You didn't answer that question.

Your reading comprehension is seriously lacking, and now you are trying to insult me. Nice.

I clearly said my cheap pump does jam in the cold. It's my cheap semi auto that doesn't have any problems! :D

And I did answer your question:

You didn't answer mine!

You are really letting your anger cloud your judgement hear. Take it easy bud it's just the internet. Or you could continue on with this failathon. I have all day.
