My Winchester 38/357 magnum Trapper jams

I purchased this lever rifle and had issues with the cartridges sliding under the and carrier causing it to jam up after the first cycle. I don't baby it and normally work the action briskly as with my other levers. Working it slowly, the problem was obvious and saw the following round or two jump the cartridge stop.So ordered a new link and all was fine for the first 100 or so rounds, then the same problem began again. I came to the conclusion that the links, both original factory were made from the same faulty material.

I have never encountered this with any other of my Winchesters or Marlins whether they were rimfire or centerfire. If anyone else had this problem, I sure would like to find out how or if they ever resolved the issue with the jamming.

Same thing happened to me with a 38/357 that I purchased from a reputable seller. Rifle looked 95%...until you went to use it. Same issue with shells jumping the link. I had to replace it with a Pre-64 link that had to be drilled/tapped for the cross pin screw. Other than a slight bluing colour difference, the rifle worked 100% after that.
