my winchester collection and one PCMR marlin:D from to to bottom.
1873 44WCF oct barrel
1894 38-55 oct barrel serrial number 2###x dated to 1895
1894 38-55 round barrel
1894 30-30 round barrel
Pre 64 model 94 30-30 carbine
1936 marlin PCMR 30-30 rifle
and the lone one in the last pic is a model 94 mfg in 1929 in 30-30 great shape
thet me know what you guys think, its a start and highly addictive:runaway:

great collection of guns. the PCMR Marlin is the nice one to have as not many were pressed into the service ( about 1800). the 1873 is super and fantastic find. Not many outside of big collections. I have quite a few , but alas do not have them able to be placed on here. cannot get the system to work.I gathered a lot of round barrels as they were fewer produced in number than the coveted octagons. they do not weigh as much either, as i shoot them all. The calibers vary as I have rifles and carbines in 30-30, 38-55, 32Special,25-35, and 2- 1892 25-20 as well as a Marlin 25-20 and 45-70.. Once the fever stiikes, you cannot hold back.
 
I just piced up the 1873 , but as you can see there is a 2 in crack in the but stock and on the other side there is the initials DC tastfuly done and pretty small, I was hoping it was from someone famous:D. any idea where i can get the elivator piece for the rear sight on the 1873??
 
the 1C looks just about the same as the 1A...but a knowledgeable collector would see the difference . For your own viewing, it is nearly "original". Matt may be able to help you. He is more into the sight arrangements than I.I myself need a 1B elevator.

You got some beautiful old leverguns there. I got a special weakness for that OB 38-55 you got.

To post your photos, go to your photobucket and under each of your photos you'll see four different addresses that you can click on. Copy the very last one and paste it into your post. Don't add anything. It should work.

Old Geezer: I'm not sure who looks older, you or the Springfield! :D When I get out to your place again with all my guns, we're going to have to do a special photo shoot of mine too. You're great with that camera!! Great pics.

Justin: I've been looking for that 73 elevator, but am not having luck. I'll let you know if I find it. It's the older model without the thumbpiece, found on 73,s 86s, early 94s. For yours you will want one without the thumbpiece. As for my little collection, I haven't picked anything up lately...not since January. I did buy a nice little original Lyman tang sight for my 1894 38-55 for hunting this fall, but that is the extent of it. Right now I'm holding out for a really nice 38-55 SRC or 1895 405WCF. Might be waiting for awhile!!
