Hi all,

Thought I would post for everyone's viewing pleasure... Over the past few years I've managed to gather a decent collection of WWII pistols, particularly those used by the Germans. They're all in beautiful shape, and there is a ton of history on the table...

For the uninitiated they are (from top left):

First row:
-CZ27
-Sauer 38H

Second row:
-Mauser HSC
-Mauser 1934

Third row:
-FEG Femaru M37
-Walther PPK (with original aluminum grips... bakelite was in short supply that month!)
-Astra 300

Bottom row:
-Luger P08
-Radom VIS
-Walther P38
-Browning High Power
-Browning 1922

I have a waffenampt MAB-D and Unique on the way...

I'm still searching for stamped Walther PP and Astra 600.

Hope you enjoyed the show!

What a FINE collection!

I will take the Luger and the Mauser HSC! If you have to shoot a 9mm, it cannot be done with more romance and nostalgia than with a fine Luger!

PE - I could have sworn that the Radom was actually Polish. I have heard a few other (unreliable and untrustworthy) friends say so as well. Are we having a brain fart or are you? Are they all prohibs or dewatted?

I wish... Pieces with historical papers or even verified capture stories are getting harder to come by. You can spend hours reading up on all the details of where the pistols were made, which branches and units they were issued to, etc.

I remember a PPK on here about 8 months ago that was traced to some SS deathsquad. Can't remember the exact squad designation anymore but I looked it up on Wiki then and the story gave me the shivers! Sometimes it's best NOT to know where the gun came from!

Thanks for the suggestion Steve...

That ppk was from Einsatzgruppe C, and yes, it WAS creepy!!

As noted, the Nazis often used pistols produced in factories they captured: the CZ is Czech, Radom Polish, Femaru is Hungarian, Browning High Power and 1922 is Belgian, the Kongberg Colt is Norweigan, and the Mab D French. They even issued Tokarevs!! They also bought pistols off the Spanish, hence the Unique and Astras. Part of what makes them very interesting to collect!

Das ist ganz gut!
