My XCR @ 4500 rounds *pic heavy*

So the newer op rod is shorter on the sliver part?

You are correct, the piston is shorter.

Nice feed what is your cleaning regiment on you xcr since your using all corrosive looks like it's holding up great I'm at 1500 on my .556 xcr and have had zero flaws they are great rifles

Cleaning regiment:
In the house, straight to the sink.
I pull the upper, muzzle in the drain, spray hot water down the barrel and gas tube, spray around gas block and break. I run more hot water over the op rod and gas adjuster.
The upper rests muzzle up and I spray G96 around the break, down the barrel and gas tube. Patch, patch, patch....done. My system gets it done in under 10 minutes.
I'll mention that this isn't my cleaning regiment, this is corrosion prevention. When I actually clean it, I just add elbow grease to the above.

Fwiw, I'm at 5200+ rounds now. I didn't shoot much during deer season.

Thanks all.

Just for fun

Thanks for information 9x19.

I just purchased an XCR Keymod in 762x39 and plan on shooting mostly corrosive ammo.

I have had SKS's, CZ 858's and have had no problem with corrosive ammo being used in them. I too clean them immediately after using just boiling water down the bore and in the gas port.

I was worried that this would not be an option with the XCR. I did not want to have to remove the barrel every time I wanted to shoot corrosive ammo.
