Many of you have read my posts of our misadventures hunting predators on the north shore of Lake Superior over the past decade or so. Prominent in these stories has been my hunting partner, Murray Davidson (aka My72Jeep) and his wife Tracey (aka QHPenny).
Murray has been battling liver failure for the past three years, resulting in the loss of his job and requiring a feeding tube this summer due to advanced malnutrition. Two weeks ago, he got a phone call saying to be at the airport the following morning, and was medivaced to Toronto, where his entire liver was removed the following morning and a liver from a cadaver transplanted. He has come through the surgery and has had no undue complications so far. However, he is required to remain in Southern Ontario for an unknown period of time.
Murray was laid off from work a year ago and his medical UI has expired. His family has limited drug coverage from his wifes part time job, and she returned home yesterday.
A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help the family deal with their out of pocket expenses. Realizing that there are lots of scams out there, I would like to state that I am not involved in anyway with the fundraiser, and those that know me on this site will vouch that I am not bull####ting you. I recognize that belts are tightening due to inflation, but if you can help the family out with a donation, it would be greatly appreciated:

I talked with Murray yesterday, he is weak and tired, but doing as well as can be expected for having a major organ removed and replaced. Murray is a good friend, always willing to help others when asked, with a great sense of humour, such as wiffing a shot on a coyote in his last hunt this past November and tagging a pine tree!
Thanks for reading this post, I am sure he will be back on the site, so any PM's to him will help break up the long days ahead.
