Hi guys I have a wired problem here

I have a Dlask A6 muzzle brake threaded for 1/2"-28 tpi, I am trying to put it on my new upper with a Danial Defense Barrel, 1/2"-28 tpi threaded as well.

Here is the wired thing, I can not screw the muzzle onto the tread that much until it basically stopped with 70% threads still exposed. I don't want to force it.

I then installed the A6 brake on my Norinco CQ-A upper, no problem at all.

To further test this, I took the 1/2"-28 tpi thread protector off my norinco AR and it smoothly goes on to my new Danial Defense Barrel no problem.

I tested one more with PWS traid muzzle device and it can goes on both barrels no problem.

So what can cause the A6 muzzle brake to have problem screw onto the threads of my Danial Defense barrel yet it works with Norinco barrel?

Thanks.

Check the threads. Had similar problem when a pinned brake was taken off...solder lined the thread.

I recall someone on CGN having a similar problem a little while back. Turns out there were burrs on the threads that made it difficult to thread on. I'm not sure if they forced it on and it loosened up but I wouldn't want to risk that on a $450. barrel. Contact DLASK. They're good about getting things sorted out.

Chase the threads on both parts with the appropriate tap and die. Problem solved.

If you don't have a tap/die set try using a brass or copper brush on both the barrel and the brake threads. Crud or burrs could be the issue. I've seen metal flakes stuck on threads as well.
