Mystery M1A Magazines, help to identify?

Where does it say that, exactly?

Says a rod or a block is fine

It says the rod or block has to be attached "to the inner surface of its casing [mag body] by welding, brazing or any other similar method" if it's a steel or aluminum mag. Permanent adhesive is acceptable if its a plastic or composite mag body

I think with the followers with the long find, they are basically a mag block which would take a bit of modification to alter, no one here would I know, I definitely wouldn't, in the end I'm just going to rivet the floor plates, extra precaution

Run for the hills!!!

Honestly it's a non-concern. It's only a problem if it takes more than 5.5 rounds.

It's spot welded to the follower so it's legal, they wouldn't sell if it wasn't would they haha.
But yah I'm going to rivet the floor plates so it's not easily removable

I'm just saying, that's what the law spells out.

I'd rather not have to spend the time and money to explain myself to a police officer or judge as to why my mags are not restricted in compliance with what the law has stated was acceptable.

I agree, when I get these cleaned and riveted the bottoms, I'll take one to a RCMP office and ask them about them, and explain the mags are limited internally, and pray I'm not booked haha

That's what has me confused. The law states the mag "casing", which would mean the mag body. Welded to the follower wouldn't be sufficient.

I know: it's a stupid law. It's easier the break off the 5 cent aluminum rivet than to buy a new follower or break the long fin on the existing follower.

Says the guy with the Molon labe banner... lol. Just busting your balls.

I guess I'm wrong and prescribed bad advice. My bad. I always thought the ends justified the means.

Ouch. Balls busted. You got me there! LOL.
I guess I believe the Molon Labe slogan in principle, but realize in practice that I am in no position to take on the system by flouting the law, as much as I may want to.

Tradex has unwelded 5/10 and 5/20 but they are KCI.
Last Nork one I got from Marstar was ####ty...one of the USGI rips with a W stamped and dark grey park, rivet in the back but not welded up at least.
I like the light grey long fin Norks. The Corwin ones are supposed to be good as well, but never tried them.

I agree. Defiantly don't waste your money on KCI mags. The spring doesn't clip into the follower and they tilt badly.

The ones I got wouldn't even seat in the mag well without some serious dremilling. Total c..p. I gave them away.

I check with Brownells and I believe it's check mate Industries 4th I have are, I wish I could afford to get a set of five of them from them but the 120 plus the 300 Canadian import fee does not sit well

does anyone still sell the long fin mags? I need a couple.

I got a pair of the new Marstar mags this month and both were limited to 5, not 5.5, so no inserting on a closed bolt. Not sure what they were thinking.

That's all you're going to find a ones that are welded on North Republic sells them Durham Outdoors and I got a couple from Farms outlet also Lockhart tactical all those are sad we going to have long fins and welded for plates
