Mystique of black powder

I was a pistol shooter (IPSC, PPC) with absolutely no interest in long guns.
One of the directors of the club asked me to become a RO for the carbine sector.
Boy ! what did I do....
A couple shooters were making a lot of smoke at the end of the range so, as a good RO, I went to check and immediately have been convinced to join them.
Now, a Pedersoli Brown Bess and a french Cavalerie An IX take turns at the range.
I also received from France a most beautiful Maréchaussée pistol, cal. 690, brand new, 225 years old and never been shot.
On top of that, we should appear soon at the range in full 18 century regalia.
Looooooooots of fun.

I own and load for old and new(ish) long and hand guns. Muzzle stuffers to AR.
Love and enjoy both and can honestly say there are no guns I don't like to some, at least, varying degree.
