I believe I've just seen an SKS on the show on right now!
Edit: I did, I did, testing to see if the vibration from a sub will set off an SKS with the free floating firing pin. Showed some internal workings, I'm pretty pumped.

watching it right now, i was pretty excited to see a rifle I own be tested, I know its not gonna happen. No way there would be enough force from a vibrating pin to set off a primer... or is there...

Did you notice if they're using commercial ammo or surplus? Cause I'd assume if it's gonna happen, commercial ammo would before surplus.

They called the rifle a weapon a bunch of times...

I'd like to see how much force it takes with commercial vs milsurp ammo.
I wouldn't bet my gonads on either being drop-safe on to concrete. The L1A1 had a firing pin spring, probably for a reason.

Yeah, many accidents happened, dangerous design, ect.

Probably blew up an Albanian SKS. I know I seen a yugo looking sks there.

They blew up the rifles with C4 and they still function flawlessly.
??? One of the four rifles fired in the C4 test.

I find it kind a funny that they repeatedly called the SKS a "dangerous Design" that will go off all by itself.
I must have been away from the TV every time as I missed that... or maybe my selective hearing ignored it!

With the right setup I think it could go off with the "woofer" test. But Mythbusters don't always do tests the way I would!
