I'm looking to see if anybody in Nova Scotia knows our CFO's view on transporting a restricted gun without the registration certificate but having the Transfer of Notification which has the registration certificate number.

I got the Transfer of Notification and LTATT a week and a 1/2 ago. Just got the gun in the mail Thursday.

I was getting ready to head to the club tomorrow, but reading through everything I realized I don't have the certificate. Now I'm damn disappointed... arg.

Nova Scotia Firearms Office also says go for it.

Like most things dealing with firearms, I suspect the interpretation changes based on who your talking to.

Thats interesting. I phoned the CFC regarding my situation (still no Reg cert ). I asked if the regestration # printed on my transfer was enough to take the firearm to the range, she promptly and politley told me no, I need the actual certificate in my hand.
Registration certs are sent to the printers on Thursday, not always printed on the Thursday. Mine was sent for printing on the 26th of Jan, but it might not of been printed until the following Thursday. Hence the 2-3 week wait for registration certs.
