A few days ago, I took my NAACO Grizzly Model 90D 30-06 out and fired off what turned out to be reloads. They were in a Winchester box with no markings to indicate reloads. Didn't turn out well at all. Shot all over the place with the first three rounds. I pulled all the bullets, weighed the powder and found there to be an unreasonable spread, plus they were fairly hot.
I tumbled the deprimed brass, FL resized, trimmed, primed and loaded up some Lee 155 gr GC wheel weights + a bit of lino over 10 gr. of Unique, 20 rounds. Brass was various makes, so not a scientific project.
I cranked the first five at 40 yards. Shot well. Next five, same. Took some adjusting of the old Williams Twilight 4x to get it tuned. I'll let the pics tell the story of the last five, shot at 100 yds. I'll try 11 gr. next, then 12. Love shooting these old rifles with light loads.
These were shot off a good, sturdy table with good support. I am not famous for being a crack shot, so I am quite happy with this rifle and load.
