What is one worth if one could find a decent sample, and if so, where might onoe find one?

I would guess at least a $1000.00 for something decent, they have pretty much dried up on the surplus market.

quite a few people are making their "put together" snipers now a days. shouldnt cost that much. But an original would be nice to find.

If you're just looking for a shooter and collectibility doesn't matter, then you can get those put togethers from a number of places. Be careful if you're looking for authenticity, as the same put togethers and outright fakes can easily confuse folks.
