Because of the presence of the same shoe'd foot in each picture, I'm beginning to believe that the fecal matter is emanating from the same a**hole attached to the top of the leg that said foot is connected to.

Moose for sure. (Still talking about the original picture.)

That is from a little know species of Saskatchewan mountain seal.

First picture is definitely moose, and old stuff at that.
Second picture is more difficult. Is very dark, high fibre content, and somewhat messy which indicates bear, but perhaps not messy enough. However it has some form indicative of elk, but is a little to dark and messy for elk.
So is it a partially constipated bear?? or an elk who has eaten alot of berries which resulted in loose stool. Tough call, for me anyways from just a picture.

I find Elk scat looks much like supersized porcupine scat...Moose tends to be more blocky(flatter ends)...

i say moose for both, first looks to be when they eat more tqigs and buds second qhen they eat more soft veg near water

#1 is moose for sure #2 looks more like wolf than bear though. Looks to have a lot of hair in it and the black comes from blood. It is not runny enough for bear eating berries.
